The local real estate market was off to a fast start before Covid-19 came on the scene. A mild winter made for an early spring market and most towns were up in sales versus 2019. There were many transactions in the pipeline that were able to close through the end of March. We suspect the second quarter of 2020 will see the largest impact in reduced sales given the lack of inventory and the lack of ability to tour homes. Most realtors are stepping up their virtual tours and online information to allow buyers the ability to at least see properties online if they can't see them in person.
